Islander in association with The Good Room Presents
Katie Kim & Radie Peat
Sunday 9th September 2018
The Chapel at Griffith College, Wellington Road, Cork
It all started when…
Katie Kim and Radie Peat (Lankum, Rue) came together last April and created a one-off show at the Pepper Canister Church in Dublin as part of MusicTown. At Quiet Lights, they will collaborate and perform together once again for a special performance of musical stories that will conclude this year's festival.
The marquee event of the first Quiet Lights will be this special collaboration between two of Ireland's finest artists.
It will see these two unique artists from different musical disciplines arrange a concert of songs including murder ballads, folklore, traditional and contemporary musical arrangements, all in the intimate surrounds of the little-known chapel at Griffith College in St Luke's.
Written by themselves and written by others that came before. To bind together themes of the human condition. Darkness through light, misadventure and grief. Revenge and swollen hearts. A night of laments.
This concert may not happen again and is not to be missed.
